The passion for golf has been running in the Índio family for many years. A passion instilled by their grandfather, Luís, born in 1914, in his three children and continues to this day. This ideal was also passed down to us by our father, who started playing in 1965 and taught us from a young age.

This sport requires a lot of concentration and dedication, but there's something about this
modality that has always fascinated our family, and that is the constant presence of nature and the breathtaking landscapes that surround the golf course, bringing us a unique sense of tranquility and well-being, almost like a moment of meditation.

With the opportunity to acquire the land in front of the 8th hole of Batalha Golf Course, one of our father's dreams was realized. His fascination with golf brought him the desire to live surrounded by the calm of nature. To this ambition, the creation of a tourism-related project was added, so that this unique experience could be shared.

Thus, Batalha Golf Villas & Spa was born, a tourist development that merges with the serenity of the Azores, with the aim of providing exclusive experiences to all guests.
